Redwood Development

On Wednesday, May 6, at their regularly scheduled Committee of the Whole (COTW) Meeting, the City Council deferred discussion of the Redwood Development Project Concept Plan Proposal (Farrell Road) PZC Case No. 2019-023 to the COTW Meeting on May 20, 2020 beginning at 7 p.m. 

There will be no vote on the Concept Plan at the COTW Meeting on May 20; however, there will be discussion of the Concept Plan Proposal. City Council members will participate in via virtual meeting, which has been the practice per the State of Illinois by Executive Order effective March 23, 2020. 

Any member of the public wishing to address the Council at City Hall during the specific agenda item or during the public comment portion of the meeting will be escorted to other conference rooms with a live feed to the meeting until the item on which he or she wishes to address the City Council comes up to maintain under ten people in a room at any one time.

If you do not feel comfortable being in person, emails with questions or comments can be sent in advance of the meeting to City Planning email which will be accepted up to 24 hours prior to the meeting time, entered into the public record and available for Council review. The applicant will be asked to respond to non-duplicative questions during the meeting.

Resident Participation

Prior to the May 20th COTW Meeting, Mayor Streit is offering opportunities for residents to discuss the project with him. 

There will be two Zoom forum meetings on: 

  • Wednesday, May 13 at 9 a.m.
  • Wednesday, May 13 at 3 p.m. 

In addition, up to eight (8) people can attend in-person at the City Hall gym to discuss the project on: 

  • Wednesday, May 13 at 6 p.m.
  • Wednesday, May 13 at 7 p.m. (if needed)

Additional Information

The City has reached out to the adjacent homeowner’s association and neighborhood representatives to distribute information and encourage residents to submit email comments, watch the meeting or attend in person. The COTW Meeting on Wednesday, May 20 beginning at 7 p.m. will be broadcast live via the following locations, consistent with the City’s pre-COVID standards and protocols:
