The Safe Passage Program was created to help those with opiate addictions (to heroin, fentanyl, etc.) get into recovery. If you need help with any kind of drug addiction, or know someone who needs help, you just need to be willing to come to the police station and ask for it.
We have partnered with area treatment facilities to ensure that patients are not judged by their addiction, insurance ability, or criminal history, but rather their willingness to receive the care and treatment they deserve – not in days or weeks – but immediately. If you are in uninsured, through the program, you will be provided with treatment at no cost.
Help is available at the Lockport Police Department, located at 1212 S. Farrell Road or by calling non-emergency police at (815) 838-2131. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 9-1-1. The Lockport Police Department is open 24 hours a day / 7 days a week / 365 days a year. If you arrive outside of administration office hours (Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.) please use the red phone to ask for assistance.
