The annual Cruisin’ Into Lockport car show is making its 2020 debut in new ways! Beginning Monday, August 3 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. classics and sports cars will line historic State Street downtown Lockport from 9th Street to 11th Street. Shows will feature live outdoor music by DJ Wise under the ROXY marquee and Farmers’ Market, hosted by the Lockport Chamber of Commerce on 10th Street, east of State Street.

With the 2018-2019 installation of new sidewalks, streetscaping, and on-street parking, downtown Lockport is a prime location for residents and area visitors to enjoy the summer weather, cars, food, drinks, and live music. Cars participating in the show will be parked in the on-street parking area starting at 10th Street on the east and west sides of State Street, north to 9th Street and south to 11th Street. Traffic barricades will be in place. Motorists are advised to please use caution. Free parking is available in the Hamilton Street and Commerce Street (South Public Landing) parking lots.

Car shows are scheduled every Monday night in August through the end of September. There will be no show held on Monday, September 7 in observance of Labor Day. The Farmers’ Market will start on Monday, August 10 and run concurrently with the car shows from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Live outdoor music begins at 5 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to stop by one of the City’s downtown local restaurants for dine in or takeout. The Farmers’ Market will feature food and drinks in addition to produce and other take-home goods.

All patrons and businesses should follow current guidelines established by the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity (IDCEO) as specified on the IDCEO website. As a reminder, please continue follow CDC health guidelines to protect yourself and others from the spread of COVID-19 while safely enjoying the event.
