Board of Police Commissioners

Board of Police Commissioners hires and promotes sworn police officers of the Lockport Police Department. The commissioners are also tasked with disciplinary issues, if need be, based on a recommendation by the Chief of Police. The Board of Police Commissioners consists of three (3) appointed members each serving three (3) year terms.

Regular Meetings


Meets: 3rd Wednesday of every month (due to the pandemic, the regular meeting schedule of the Board of Police Commissioners will continue to be "on call". If required, in-person virtual meetings, and agenda's of said meeting(s) will be posted 48 hours prior to the scheduled meeting on the City website.)
